AUSTRIACARD supplies the first Japan Credit Bureau (JCB) credit cards for the European market for Austria’s card complete Service Bank AG. The JCB-certification validates the high security and quality standards of AUSTRIACARD, which has already been certified by VISA, MasterCard and Diners Club.

Konstantinos Lagios, Chief Commercial Officer at AUSTRIACARD: “We are proud to enable card complete Service Bank AG to issue JCB cards in the Austrian market. With JCB, we have another market leader placing its trust in our know-how, while enabling our clients to broaden their portfolio and offer a new product to their markets.” JCB is seen as a pioneer in the Japanese credit card business and has established itself as a vital and global brand within the payments industry. About 90 million people worldwide already use JCB-cards. Now the company is also entering the European market, which allows banks to broaden their credit card portfolio.

“We are confident that this unique product paired with the many additional exclusive offers will resonate with new customers and, thus, expand Austria’s potential for cashless payments”, said Dr. Heimo Hackel, CEO of card complete Service Bank AG.

JCB Balance

The new “JCB Balance”-cards incorporate product features, which complement each owner’s lifestyle balance. The card includes rebates on holidays, adventure- and lifestyle products, travel and shopping insurances, access to airport lounges as well as several advantages with rental car reservations among others. AUSTRIACARD has already delivered the first tranches of these cards to clients.
